Product Catalogue > Sources > CD-PlayersOriginal A9IIProduct ImagesThe confusingly named A9II is the surpasser of the A9.3. Featuring a newly implemented and modified Song 213 CD transport the A9II is more accurate and is overall superior to its precursor. The DAC setup has been upgraded to feature not just one Burr Brown PCM1792 but uses two! This formation balances the entire circuit and the A9II actually samples at 352Khz. As a result music reproduction is finer and more distinct. Another worthy feature is its ability to change filtering algorithims, or put simply allowing the user to have a "smooth" or "crystal" sound signature at the flick of a switch. The power going to the PCM1792 both have a multi-stage voltage-stabilizer circuit ensuring that electrical disturbance and distortion are minimal and eliminating background noise. In addition the A9II has an excessively big circuit board to avoid cluttering components and significantly reduces the signal to noise ratio.
