The Classic 6.6 is a top-grade integrated transistor amplifier that was launched in 2001, and is still one of the most popular amplifiers in Classic's product line-up. Combining the elegant yet robust industrial design with an advanced amplification topology. The Classic 6.6 is the third generation of products derived from Classic's patented circuit. After years of improvements the Classic 6.6 has gradually attained perfection. The 6.6 features a regulated power supply, which uses special SEPP circuitry. This allows the amplifier to reduce the amount of noise that is normally produced and lower internal impedance. Power supplies should never be skimped on amplifiers. The Classic 6.6 uses two 450W toroidal transformers, each one supplying power separately to left and right channels. Pre-amp and remote control circuits are powered by a separate R-shaped transformer. The power supply also features around 100000uF of electrolytic capacitors for filtering, four phases of electronic filtering and two phases of voltage regulation. The fully-functioned remote control includes ON/OFF, mute, volume and input selection. The entire remote is made from aluminum. All Classic products are hand built with the utmost care, and workmanship. You can be assured Classic took no shortcuts when building your amplifier. All circuitry is properly shielded from the outside world, the volume potentiometer is soldered directly to the board to shorten the signal circuitry and thick copper leads are used to link the various boards within the amplifier.
