The Ming Da MC805-A is a monster of an amplifier, weighing in at 21Kg each and more than half a meter long! Each monoblock features two separately encapsulated transformers, one being the output and the other power. All transformers are hand wound in house by Ming Da and are up to the highest standard in quality, you can feel this in the weight of the amplifiers. Ming Da has chosen to use the 805 transmitting triode as the power tube, running in full Class-A SET (Single Ended Triode). Along with the large 805 power tube, engineers at Ming Da implemented the 12AX7, 12AU7 and 6L6GC tube to drive the 805. Although it produces 40Watts RMS per channel in Class-A, the MC805-A produces music that is neither lacking nor restrained. Sound is full bodied and will immediately grab your attention with its vivid reproduction of music. And the MC-3R is a great pre-amp that matches nicely with the MC805-A, Ming Da actually recommends this combination for the best system synergy.
